I love seeing people get as excited as I am about surfing. It is great to see people totally in the moment enjoying the ocean.

How did you get into surfing?
I went to surf camp the summer after 8th grade, and I just fell in love. I decided that I had found my sport.
What is your favorite part about teaching people how to surf?
My favorite part about teaching people how to surf is witnessing the sense of accomplishment that people feel when they first catch a wave. I love to see people laugh and be stoked--it's such a raw expression of emotion.

Other than surfing, I really like to read. I also like to explore nature and take bike rides on my beach cruiser. |
