FALL FEST on Avenida de la Playa!

 

La Jolla, California – October 6, 2008 – The La Jolla Shores Merchants Association presents an evening of fun, good food and live bands with its 1^st annual FALL FEST on Avenida de la Playa!  Bring your family, friends, and colleagues to join us for a “Party on la Playa”, with restaurants such as Osteria Romantica, The Kitchen, and Barbarella offering a sample of their menus.  Receive goodies from the surf shops, boutiques and businesses down the street. Tickets available for purchase at: La Jolla Kayak, OEX Dive & Kayak Center, Surf Diva Surf Boutique, Neighbor Savor, and the La Jolla Shores Hotel.

 

There will also be a jumper for kids as well as face painting!  Hullaballoo will be performing live for the kids at 6:00pm, followed by the Molly Jenson band, which was featured on the season premiere of Knight Rider, performing outside on Avenida de la Playa.

 

“It’s going to be a blast for everyone in the community, and we’re thrilled to kick-start the first annual Fall Fest!” says Izzy Tihanyi, owner and CEO of Surf Diva Surf School & Boutique.

“Come on down to La Jolla Shores to enjoy a fun Fall Fest with family and friends!” says Noelle Wojdowski, Event Committee Chair.

 

Tickets are on sale NOW for $5/person, including a ticket to join our raffle to win some great prizes!  Each shop/boutique/restaurant you visit will give you a stamp/sticker for each of the 12 boxes on your ticket.  You need a minimum of 10 stamps in order to enter in the raffle.  Prizes include gift certificates from local restaurants, boutiques, and surf & kayak schools.  Kids & adults are encouraged to wear their Halloween Costumes during the evening.
