San Diego’s favorite camp at La Jolla is back!
At the American surf academy we run a summer surf camp for kids from ages 11 - 17, private and group lessons for all ages, and also specialty days such as corporate events and kid’s birthdays.
Our expert instructors are all great surfers with knowledge of the ocean. Every instructor at Australian Surf Academy is CPR and First Aid certified. The instructor to student ratio is 1:5 maximum.
Get ready young surfers- grab a vegemite sandwich and get ready for some great surfing action.

Summer Camp
That’s it grommies- you’ve spent all year looking out the window, checking the winds and dreaming of surfing all day- now it’s time to do it!
• Surf Camp is at La Jolla Shores, San Diego, California (Call for exact directions)
• Camp runs from 9:00am – 4:30pm on a weekly basis (Camp dates listed )
• Ratio is 1:5
• Camp is for kids from ages 11 – 17
In one week campers will learn:
• A basic beginners course in surfing (for first time wave shredders)
• An elite course in surfing (for experienced wave hackers)
• Surf safety, ocean awareness and the beach environment
• Some of the many fun world games from the ASA mixed bag including Cricket, Soccer, Rounders and Tagging Games
During the off-season, the ASA went to great lengths to track down, a secret document containing the best games known throughout the ages. After a few brushes with death, scratches and a few broken bones, our instructors emerged with the goods.
What has resulted is a list of games many cultures had forgotten about,
Ball games, tag games, races and relays.
Games to break the ice, games to get things going,
Games for groups of any age and level of ability.

All participants are to be dropped off and picked up near the beach, at the parking lot.
*Except on the first day of camp all students are to check in at the shop!

Morning 9:00am - 12:30pm
Afternoon 1:00pm - 4:30pm

5 days, Monday through Friday
Price:
Half day session $292.00 (plus a 10% surcharge for beach permits) $297.00 + 29.70= Total Price $326.70
All day price $500.00 (plus a 10% surcharge for beach permits) $500.00 + $50.00 = Total Price $550.00

ASA day camp:
3 weeks of ASA day camp is recommended by all ASA surf instructors, but not required
(Young surfers can attend any week throughout the summer).
Note: Camp sessions are limited.

Whether it's your first surfing experience ever or you want to get new perspective on your surfing, our team can have you ripping up the waves in no time. We provide all of the equipment so all you have to bring is a positive attitude we do the rest!
