Cancellation Policy Costa Rica Retreats

In order to best serve our students, Surf Diva has a firm cancellation policy. Once payment has been made there are no refunds, only credits towards a future Surf Diva lesson or trip.

The $500.00, U.S.D., is a non-refundable deposit after reservation is made.

Cancellations made at least 120 days prior to the first day of trip will receive a credit for 90% of the remaining balance:

60 days prior – 80%, 30 days prior – 50% (minus the $500 deposit).

No credits will be issued after 30 days prior to the first day of the trip.

Credits must be used within one year from the start date of the canceled program. No shows will not be eligible for a refund and may not reschedule.

Surf Diva will endeavor to find a roommate (same gender) for those guests who wish to share a room. If you sign up more than 75 days in advance of departure and no roommate is available, 50% of the single occupancy charge will be due at final payment. If you sign up less than 60 days in advance, and no roommate is available the whole single occupancy charge will apply at time of payment. (lf a roommate can be found within 60 days, the single occupancy charge will be refunded).

EXCEPTIONS TO OUR POLICY CANNOT BE MADE FOR ANY REASON, including injury, personal emergencies, or weather conditions.

We do not offer credit for arriving late or leaving early.

Surf Diva is not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled trips, such as airline tickets, loss of employment, other personal loss, or for costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellations or illness.

Surf Diva strongly recommends purchasing a Trip Protection plan.

Participants who do not provide the requested information in the packet and/or fail to sign and return the two “Release of Liability” forms prior to their departure will not be permitted to join our retreats. The above cancellation policy will apply.


If Surf Diva must cancel or change a Costa Rica retreat date for any reason, you may transfer your full payment to another session, or you may request a refund of your payment.

Surf Diva is not responsible for your expenses incurred for in preparation for any canceled trips, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.

Because of this policy, we will need to keep a credit card on file. You will be notified before Surf Diva charges your card.
